To be a member of staff, we only ask the following...

•        To be dedicated and active

•        To be a good example for others

•        To show up at classes you are responsible for, and be prepared

•        To Wear staff uniform

•        To help provide a safe place for others

•        To enforce the Rule book

 

How to become a teacher

When you apply for a teacher, you will be asked to come to a meeting with Miss Sarah. You will hear about the school and you can ask questions. If you are hired, we will discuss your responsibilities at school. If you are a teacher, we will discuss when you start classes.

Your path will follow that of a new student. You start as a novice and should experience a few classes from existing teachers. When you feel you know our rulebook well enough, you will take the same exam to ensure your knowledge of the rulebook. 

Teachers are expected to provide Inspections to students on the same day they have class.

 

Advice for classes

•        Come on time, if you cannot come, let Miss Sarah know.

•        Aim for classes that are a two-way experience, where both teachers and pupils talk and share. Do not have a one-way discussion. 

•        Do not copy and paste from Wikipedia

•        Decide how you will roleplay. Some pupils like strict and grumpy teachers, while some do not. A teacher can be strict and grumpy, and the pupils could still feel that they are respected and liked.

•        Let roleplay develop. This means you may have to change your schedule. But if a roleplay develops, you can choose to let it develop and see where it goes.

•        Never let your puppeteer lose their temper
