St. Columba Uniforms - Girls

The Daily Uniform

The daily uniform is worn more than any other at St. Columba. Long hair MUST be pulled or clipped back in some method as hair may NOT hang down the front of the uniform. Braids are the one exception.
The girl's uniform consists of a dark navy blue dress with white cuffs, white collar and lighter blue tie. Crucifix chain must be tucked neatly under the collar.

A gray pinafore is placed over the dress and tied with a proper bow around the back.

Dress length MUST hang directly at the knee or slightly above.

White knee socks are worn in the spring and summer months while warmer white and gray marbled tights are worn during fall and winter.

Black Mary Janes must be polished and shined daily.

The Special Uniform
The Special uniform is used as its name implies, for special events or ceremonies.
The one piece white dress is accompanied by a light gray shrug. The white collar is fastened with a floral bow.
The crucifix must be tucked under the collar.
The gray sash is tied in the front left.
The bottom half of the uniform consists of lace netting which should hang directly in line with the knee.
White sheer nylons are worn all year long.
White Mary Janes must be polished and shiny at all times. No mud or dirt is ever permitted to appear on the shoes or soles.
The Gym Uniform

The Gym (or Physical Education) uniform is worn for all gym classes as well as participation in any sporting event.

This uniform consists of a dark navy blue and white polo with gray piping around the sleeves and collar. A small tie is used as a subtle accent.

The bottom is a white pleated skirt with gray pleats. It hangs mid thigh between the hips and knees.

Navy blue knee socks

Pristine white sneakers that must be washed if ANY dirt is found upon them.

The Choir Uniform

Though choir can pull from a library of other uniforms, the one most commonly worn is our Irish tartan. It is not in the school colors, but rather the official tartan of the school.

An Irish tam with feather plume adorns the top of the head.

The black velvet jacket with white jabot covers the top while the tartan sash and cape drapes over the left shoulder.

The kilt should hang directly above the knee.

Standard white knee socks are worn.

Black Mary Janes follow same guidelines as all other uniforms.
